WhatsApp App multi-device support: WhatsApp Multiple Device Feature and Advanced Search Mode Spotted in Updates

Instant messaging app WhatsApp brings amazing features for its users on the day.  The multi-device support feature the app was working on for a long time can now be rolled out to users soon.  After this, users will be able to run WhatsApp in multiple phones from the same number.

WhatsApp is constantly releasing new updates to make its platform user friendly.  In this episode, WhatsApp has released a new Android beta update and it has received information about some new features.

This latest WhatsApp v2.20.196.8 beta for Android gives us a glimpse of two features, including advanced search mode and multiple device support.  The company has been working for a long time on the ability to allow a WhatsApp account to run on multiple devices.  In addition, advanced search mode has also been in operation for some time and the new beta version is showing some UI updates in it.

According to the latest report by WABetaInfo, the first feature of the new features that the social messaging app is working on is long-standing multiple device support.  The screenshot of this feature shows that WhatsApp is actively working to create a new UI for this multiple device feature.

WhatsApp can call it linked devices and it can be accessed through the three dots icon on the top right of the screen.  This feature will allow you to use the same WhatsApp account on multiple devices, that too without logging out.  According to the report, the social media giant is working on giving permission to sync an account on four devices simultaneously.

In the new section, not only the users will get the option to link a new device, but also the already linked devices will be seen.  Also, with the stamp stamp, it will be seen when the last time WhatsApp was active on that device.  Apart from multi device support, the company is also working on advanced search mode.

Linked devices will show
In this section of WhatsApp, users will also see pre-linked devices.  Also, with the stamp stamp, it will be seen when WhatsApp last time was active on that device.  Apart from this, WhatsApp is also preparing to bring advanced search mode.

It has also been speculated that data can also be synced between devices for access through the new 'Linked Devices' feature.  This new linked devices section will help users to add new devices in the same way as what is presently in WhatsApp web / desktop.  Work on the feature is currently underway, so this feature will not be visible to users even after downloading the new beta update.

Will have to sync with Wi Fi
These features of WhatsApp have been seen in Android beta version 2.20.196.8 of the app.  New features of the app are currently under development, so they have not been introduced for beta users either.  According to a report, Wi-Fi Sync may be required to run WhatsApp on different devices.
